Civic Election Day Blog Transcription

Hi there Rob Reynar here, checking in. Well, it's election day in Alberta, civic elections. I am just encouraging everybody to get out there and vote. Lot of people fought and died for us to have the right to choose and I encourage you to do that. One thing that strikes me about civic elections is the traditionally low voter turn out. Although in Calgary this year with the raise for Mayor, I think there's going to be an incredible turn out which is great. Traditionally really low for specific politics, I am always, you know, wondering why that is, because civic politics or civic leaders are the closest government to the voter. There's so much that they can decide in your day to day life right from property taxes, to by laws, I mean as the people in Toronto right now, who are looking at a by law that will them how many cars they can park on their property based on what size they're garage is whether it's a single or a double. That affects your day to day life. You have the ability to pick and choose who you want to make those type of decision on your behalf. So get out there, cast your ballot on civic election day here in Alberta.

Love to hear your thoughts on this. It's R-E-Y-N-A-R. Talk to you soon. Buh Bye!
