Hey there! Rob Reynar here just checking in. I get asked a lot by perspective sellers, what should they do to their house to make it ready to be shown? and I'm not one that's big on depersonalization. I mean, I think you have to have an approach that leads you to the middle of the road. I don't want you to totally take every personal photo off every wall and replace it with some stock art photo from Ikea or from design company. I don't want your house to look exactly like a showhome. I think it has to still look like a home, that people live there, their happy there and it's a positive environment because I think that energy is will then flow through to the next buyer. So, I don't want it to look too impersonal but I don't want it to look cluttered. I think that's the key, reduce the clutter, make closets, make the kitchen, make bedrooms look big and I want the house to have that feel that it does when you come home from a Holiday. You know when you get home from a holiday and the house is clean and tidy, there's no dishes, there's no laundry. It's got a great energy and a great feel. It's very calming, that's the feel you wanna have when a buyer comes through your house. I think the term I used today was "avoid chaos".
