COOL HOME INSPECTION
I have always been a big believer of the home inspection process. This is one of the best tools I have seen and inspector use. Dan Merrell from Accu Home Inspections uses a heat signature instrument to find signs of bad wiring, heat loss and possible water problems.

Hey there! Rob Reynar checking in. I'm on a home inspection today and I'm with Dan Merrell and I'll link up all his contact information so you've got it. Playing with great gadgets today. Dan is gonna show as a machine, a little tester, a little doodad that'll show us heat signatures and he puts it on the electrical panel to find out if there's any overloaded circuit. So let's fire that up, so you can see on the screen there is a little bit of heat in the bottom corner where that cable modem is, where that wireless modem is. You can see the heat there but when you look at the panel it's pretty clean. There's a little bit of heat coming from one breaker but Dan says that's normal cause it's like a GFI. So that's really interesting, it's a great tool to find out if there's any overloaded circuits in the house but just to give you an idea of how sensitive this machine is. I need you to check this out. So here we go, put his hand on the wall for less than a second and it picks up the heat signature. Do that again just so we can see it again. Hand on the wall, picks up the heat signature of the hand. Incredible tools on a home inspection to make sure the buyer knows what they're buying.
